Lara A. Callas
Lara Callas is of counsel to Sall Spencer Callas & Krueger. For the past ten years her practice has emphasized complex business litigation, legal malpractice and attorney-client fee disputes. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Ms. Callas practiced business litigation with Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth and also spent two years abroad in Albania (2001-3) serving as the Head of Rule of Law and Human Rights for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Presence in Albania.
Ms. Callas graduated magna cum laude from UCLA in 1991 with a Bachelor of arts in Sociology with honors. Ms. Callas received her juris doctor degree from Boalt Hall, University of California at Berkeley in 1994.
Ms. Callas served on the Orange County Bar Association’s Judiciary Committee from 2008-2013, culminating with her service as chair of that committee charged with making recommendations to the Governor’s office concerning the qualifications of judicial candidates. She has also served in the past on the Client Relations Committee. Ms. Callas lectures on issues relating to professional responsibility and attorney ethics, including recently a seminar in 2014 entitled the “Practical Ethics of Engagement Agreements”.
Ms. Callas is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California.
In addition to her legal career, Ms. Callas is married with three children, Max (9), Sam (7) and Ana (4). She is also an avid runner, completing her first Boston Marathon in 2012 and the New York Marathon in 2013.
